yes, i have something to tok abt sl, now.
lols, ya lar that day didnt feel like talking oks, too tired and sick to speak. ok now i'll gif my thoughts about the sl. bascially, the this sl experience was a fruitful and fun one lar. although not my first time with kids, coz i camped wif cadet scouts for 5days thru out and you imagined your activities that day x 5 ehs? nevertheless, i must share with you all smthg about my group, group 4!!!
hahax, so i, hao-ge, sinli n szemun were appointed THE FACILITATORS for group 4. cools, at first all very reluctant to talk lar but then slowly the ice melted into a hot pot of stew... crapping anyway, my group of kids were really quite lovable lehs... consisting of 5 girls and 2 boys. the 2 boys both super active and high during grp ice-breakers and they pull me along and ran around everywhere. then they sorta missed the theme park rides or wat and they led me into a merry go round ride, ok i tried to stop la... but then they just kept continuing spinning. spin and spin and spin until both of them blur blur wahahaha =X yeps, they are crazy lar. then the girls in moi group all very shy and reluctant to talk. but i am proud that my group has the MOST INNOCENT-LOOKING girl, LiXuan, as confirmed by me and hao-ge man. kaoz, we were talking to her after the caking making thingy and she would wink and let out a meek, shy and subtle smile lor! no wonder they say children are the most innocent pple in the world. undoubtedly, she's one unique girl and her innocent smile is like so lovable till i almost wanted to pinch her cheeks! the catching game or wat the children called water and ice really was chaotic lar, but at least it served its purpose - the ultimate ice-breaking activity. wah kaoz, i run after bunny grp, the boy wenhao for dunno how long man, then my shorts kept dropping, run until i breathless. then also froze my grp children and after the activity, the girls and boys were so excited and warmed up. all in all, the sl was an enjoyable one lar. a pity though, we should have taken separate group photos and a grand FAMILY photo for rememberance!
memories worth relishing aside, i think that the sl comm did a commendable job for planning the sl. the activities thought by them were very innovative lar like the cake making comp, the kids in my grp said that the cake was delicious and they enjoyed the process alot also lar. but i think the schedule can be improved upon. like the after station games, i think the time allocated was like over-estimated. at least for my grp we ended arnd 3.10 but then we had to play till like 3.30. so i suggest the comm brainstorm for 'buffer activties' - smthg i learnt for camp planning. it's like activities to use up the remaining time and at the same time having some purpose when the activity ends too early. they can be in form of like 'balloon-blowing n tying competition' or some other activities like teaching them some dance or playing some games among two groups at one station so they can win some sweets or smthg. this will keep them occupied so the kids will not suddenly like demand for catching and the whole situation gets out of control. ya... that's what i felt. other than that, the activities were all rather well thoughout and planned. if there's a future sl, perhaps we can organise a trip like wat louisa said? yeps, or even organise a 2d1n camp for some children home? that will really bond the facilitators and the children together.
oks, nuff said or should it be over-said =.=? 2.32am now, gd nites all.
