Famine camp

Oright! So i decided that i will have some time to describe to you all the famine camp. some details are left out. please forgive my sudden lack of grammar and vocabulary. its sorta difficult keeping to it all the time.
ok. so basically i headed there on saturday morning with a bunch of pae classmates for registration. as i approached, i felt a sudden sense of regret. like...WHY THE HELL DID I CHOOSE TO COME HERE. it was a sudden thing. like a lightning bolt you know. but still i pushed on. i know alot of people have been asking me "can you tahan the famine or not?" based on my roly poly figure. KAOZ! if i gave up then i would have proven their initial conjectures right! no way.
so registration was not a hassle. there were like 1.2k people there. the halls were full. mainly dominated by SA and AJ people tho. my group was named myanmar 16. it consisted of some of my pae classmates. includes angel too. it also has my guitar VP which is the maggie she mentioned. interesting. our group leader is quite a nice 24 year old virologist.
so after that were some crap talk where we started the thing. i remember the grp leader asking us why we came. i answered quickly "24 hours CIP". thats the brutal truth. next. so the activities started. what the heck. we were to carry our bags in trash bags just like those refugees. no. i dont like it.
so there were a bunch of activities simulating the lives of these poor people. i felt quite sympathetic for them after watching the videos. however, i feel that the videos brought the point across far more starkly in constrast to the games. the simulated games did little. IT MADE NO SENSE. some of them involved searching for beans in the grass field in the dark, tearing pieces of paper while squatting for 20mins (I SORTA DIED ON THIS ONE), and i dunnno what other crap. there were also lotsa lectures with some awesome videos. the videos as i state again, do the job much better than some simulated activity which does poorly at raising our awareness. then there was this child soldier game. we had to lead our blindfolded groupmates around while being mute. kaoz. it wasnt too bad tho. actually i will say the whole thing wasnt too bad. the hunger wasnt really there...my stomach was totally numb. and there were so many lectures which acted as breaks between activities.
however the next day we paid for it. we slept only 1.5 hours. not much. our group pretty much slept everywhere on the bus, on the floor, anywhere is possible. we became garungkunis what the hell i cant spell it. it was hot work ESPECIALLY since i was always the one REQUESTED to carry most of the stuff. gah. but it felt quite meaningful. it was also interesting to see various people appear from behind those closed doors.
finally after all that the camp was close to completion. we were still dead tired. and dead stinking. we wore the same shirt we sweated into for the last....24 hours? no bathing allowed too. we smelled worse than dead fishes. finally we were allowed a change, and treated to a nice concert. and then a meal. which sucked. but hunger is the best sauce isnt it. the mixture of some minced meat and chilli beancurd and cabbage with some rice which i may have rejected in the past (SPOILT BRAT) suddenly appear appetizing...

AND IT ENDS. may be back again next year
